Athens Hip Hop Award 2018

 2012 Athens Hip Hop Awards (AHHA) began in an effort to place a spotlight on Athens, Georgia Hip Hop community, and urban business professionals.  Since that time, AHHA has presented over 150 awards honoring various local hip-hop artists, business owners, and community leaders for their professionalism and contribution to Athens local music scene and hip-hop culture. 

This  Red Carpet-Hip Hop event is designed to appeal to a diverse audience and attracts hundreds of Hip Hop fans from Athens, Atlanta, South Carolina, Florida and various areas, year after year. AHHA is one of the most anticipated urban events held annually in Athens, Ga. This is an opportunity for the Hip-hop community to celebrate with family and friends, and stand in unity.

How to get nominated:

  • Athens Hip Hop awards founders, task team, and/or volunteers do not select nominees or winners. Nominees and Winners are selected by the people’s votes.
  • Help spread the word. Let people know the nominations process has begun. Ask family, friends, and co-workers to go online and nominate you for AHHA
  • The Top 4 nominees in each category (those who receive the most nominations), names will be placed on the final voting ballot.
  • Nominations will be held January 22-February 21st, 2018- Voting begins February 25th.

Athens Hip Hop Award will be held March 25th, 2018. Doors open 6 pm.

  • Guidelines: Nominations are received by fans, supporters, friends and community members. United Group of Artists LLC has no part in the nominations or voting process. Our role is to process the information, make sure the submissions or real individuals or businesses and place the nominees with the most nominations on the voting ballot.

    Only the top (4) will make the voting ballot. If your name or business doesn’t end up on the ballot, it is because you didn’t receive enough support, enough nominations, or your supporters were not made aware by your network that the process had begun.
