Athens Black Market will be held July 29th, 12-5 pm at Max Canada 243 W. Washington Street, Athens Ga. Athens Black Market is designed to promote Black entrepreneurship and support minority business owners. This mobile marketplace is held (4) four times per year and aims to stimulate cultural and diverse in downtown Athens, Ga.
As entrepreneurs, with more than 15 years experience operating their own business, Mokah and Know Johnson believes in the importance of reinforcing Black Economics by providing a forum for minority business owners to generate an income and serve the community. The Johnsons are the co-founders of Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement, Athens 1ST MLK Day Parade and Fest and Athens Hip Hop Awards and much more.
Athens Black Market will be held the last Saturday of each month starting July 29th thru November 2017.
What to Expect: Soul and Caribbean food vendors, clothing, artwork, kid-friendly items, youth vendors. Live performances, games, and activities for kids and much more.
Vendor Requirements: This is an outdoor event and all vendors are required to have quality products, great customer service, and must bring their own 8×10 table and tent. Bottled water or alcohol not allowed to be sold.
